Karate Testing

We had a Karate testing this past weekend, both the kids did wonderful! 

Colette did so great, she earned her Purple Belt! 

Her form was wonderful and she really shines in her basics. 

Kallin had such energy and earned a White with Gold Stripe. 

(not really an "actual" belt rank in CKD, but he has been working so hard, and he even knows part of a form- he is using this belt as his mid-step to gold.) 

It's really incredible to see how much my kids are enjoying Karate, how much they apply themselves to being good at it. 

Everyone was giggling at sweet Kallin as he did Attacking Techniques, he loves it so much!! As he does it he giggles so hard! His kiai is loud and he does one every chance he can!!!

(I have video that I'll share soon as I can) He also got up in front of the board and did his form, he loved getting to show his skills! His passion for Karate is contagious! 

Colette did so wonderful. She is really working hard lately in her Karate, she gets more confident each week and she pays close attention to instruction, making her a really great student to work with. She is beyond thrilled to be a Purple now, she's been waiting for this! She is so sweet, one of her critiques was to "get mean!"
