There are just epic trips.
This was an epic family trip.
So much planning and saving went into this wonderful family vacation, with Kenny at the helm. He planned the entire extravagant trip. We wanted to give our kids the epitome of Disney. We told them the night before we left that they were going to Disneyland! Armed with a fabulous Disney tee for each family member, they laid out their choice in outfits. And went to sleep dreaming of Mickey and Princesses, rides and roller coasters...
The next morning, we dressed in our Disney Tee's, and as we loaded up, a Surprise arrived.... Grandma Cia and Grandpa Ken! They said "We heard you are doing a CRAZY trip!! We Wan to come!!"
You just can't do Disney without them!
Upon arrival we driver further than normal.... and arrived and the next surprise. The Disney Hotel! We were staying in the actual Disney run hotel. It looks exactly like the lodge in Planes Fire and Rescue! The kids were thrilled! Just as disney does, they had a kids area with small lodge chairs, and cartoons to entertain the little people while we checked in.
We went hunting for "hidden Mickey" and found quite a few!! We also got a stack of autographed Disney character pictures!
We headed to the park! Excited and happy! Where the kids got hit with yet ANOTHER surprise! Season passes!!! The gift that keeps giving!
1st we wanted to go to Radiator Springs, because the kids had never seen it! It was better than we could have imagined. It looks like walking into into the movie.
Kallin was thrilled to ride the Racers ride. He had anticipated it for months!! He was not let down, he loved it, and giggled and whooped and hollered the whole way!
Don't forget to stop and smell the.... tail lights?
We rode Luigi's Tires, and ate lunch at Flo's Cafe, and the food was yummy. The view was spectacular of the mountains!
Carousel, Ariel, and Grizzly River Run! SO FUN! Toy Story 3D was a total HIT!
The parade of lights, and a very happy bunch of kids upon the close of day 1. We let the kids pick a Disney Dessert, and they looked as good as they tasted!
DAY 2
DAY 3
I rushed out with Kallin EARLY in the morning, just as the park opened to stand in line to get a ticket for the Frozen Sisters. We got in, and allllll the way to the front of a LONG line, and alas, we have to have EVERYONE activated and in the park to get passes! Ike! So the rest of the family showed up in PJ's, and we got passes, then we rode a few rides, in our jammies! We even gave Goofy a hug, pajama clad! We went back and got ready for the day, and went to ride the Tower of Terror! Corinne was truly terrified. Kallin wasn't too thrilled either. Corinne swears she will never ride it again! To soothe Corinne, we took her to Bug's Land for some fun and un-freaky rides! Then back to Radiator Springs, for some Mater fun. Pinocchio, and then it was our turn to see the Frozen Sisters! We rode Pirates of the Caribbean. Ending our day with Star Tours. What an incredible family vacation. We had such an amazing time. There is never any regrets when we go and spend time as a family. Our children are so much fun to be around, and we really had the most amazing time. There was laughter and smiles... hugs and kisses. It was wonderful.
