This year for Corinne's birthday we had a "under the sea" party. With how much Corinne has been LOVING Ariel I decided that I should go that route. Auntie Ryanne helped with the prep work and the baking. She helped make the cake- a huge undertaking.
Cake Challenge. We bought store-bought cake and baked it and then tried to make it into a sandcastle effect. Much harder than I thought it'd be.
Colette sneaking a little taste... or two.
Making a big MESS with the butter!
This was the point in the cake baking that we were unsure if this will actually work... we got a little scared at this point. It was a little crumbly and a lot more work than we thought it'd be!
Nearly complete it finally started to resemble a sand castle.
Decorations.
Making the decorations was fun. Ryanne and I did it all day and we got a little creative! We hung seaweed from the ceiling and we did fish on the window. We had balloons, we had streaming seaweed from the chandelier.
PARTY TIME!
The party Princess ready to Swim!
Party People...
The SWIMMERS at the party

The Party Place. The Whole setup.
The MAN in charge of the grub! (and he did a DANG good job!)
The Finished CAKE
Oh, and it tasted yummy!
Singing Happy Birthday!
She loved that everyone sang to HER. She's really into singing happy birthday and was so pleased when everyone was singing TO HER. It was so cute to see her light up with excitement!
GIFT TIME
Corinne loved every gift she got! She was so funny, saying AHHH!!! As she opened each gift. She is sure spoiled!
